When Rush Handling Makes Sense

Most recordings can follow the standard process. Rush handling is for times when the paperwork is ready and you need ACC to prioritize getting it reviewed and submitted, such as:

  • A deed or transfer document tied to a sale or refinance
  • A mortgage release, satisfaction, or assignment a buyer or lender is waiting on
  • A corrected document that needs to go back in after a rejection
  • An investor or title file with a deadline attached

What Rush Handling Can and Can't Do

Rush handling moves your package to the front of ACC's own review and submission work. It does not control the county. Recording timing still depends on your documents and county processing, and sending a request does not confirm county acceptance or recording.

The fastest way to keep a rush on track is to send complete, prepared documents. A missing signature, notary block, or recording reference can send a document back, no matter how fast it was submitted. Our post on why documents get rejected for recording in Cuyahoga County lists the common problems to check first.

Pricing

  • Rush: $99 per document package, county fees separate
  • Single prepared document: $99 ACC service fee
  • Managed batch: $499 for up to 10 prepared documents
  • County fees and outside costs: extra

ACC confirms your exact documents and total in your quote before you pay. Larger or recurring orders get a custom quote. See our batch document recording page if you have several documents at once.

Prepared Documents Only

ACC submits prepared documents electronically. The service covers handling and submission. It doesn't include drafting documents, legal advice, or title research. If your document still needs to be prepared, have your attorney or title professional finish it first, then send it to ACC.

How a Rush Request Works

  1. Send your request. Use the filing request form, attach your prepared documents, and note that you need rush handling and why.
  2. Review and quote. ACC reviews the documents, flags anything missing, and sends your quote.
  3. Approve and pay. You approve the exact documents and total using the link ACC sends.
  4. Electronic submission. ACC submits the approved package. Once the county records and returns it, ACC provides the recorded documents.

Documents We Handle

  • Deeds and transfer documents
  • Mortgages
  • Assignments, releases, and satisfactions (have the original recording reference ready)
  • Other prepared instruments (describe them in your request so ACC can confirm the service fits)
